In a report by Reuters Live! as carried by Yahoo, according to a study conducted on 36,518 people from around the world on the musical tastes by Professor Adrian North of Scotland’s Heriot-Watt University, it was found that

“…jazz and classical music fans are creative with good self-esteem, although the former are much more outgoing whereas the latter are shy.”

Does musical tastes define personality as the Yahoo report claims?

Does that also hold true for jazz musicians? Yet there are personalities who run the gamut from gentle to erratic and downright “dark” personalities.

Remember the late, great Miles Davis who late in the last decade of his career was also dabbling into art? Food for thought?
